Caterpillar releases fourth quarter numbers and full-year financial results
DEERFIELD (25 NEWS) - Caterpillar’s full-year financial results showed steady growth in 2021, as demand for equipment and services continues to rebound from 2020. The company released its fourth-quarter and full-year 2021 financial results Friday morning.
Fourth quarter results show sales and revenue at $13.8 billion, up from $11.2 billion in 2020. Fourth-quarter adjusted profit per share was $3.91, up from 2020′s adjusted profit per share of $2.12.
Full-year sales and revenues went up from $41.7 billion in 2020 to $51.0 billion in 2021. That’s an increase of 22%. The company credits the increase to higher user demand for equipment and services and changes in dealer inventories.
“I’m proud of our global team’s continued resilience in what proved to be a challenging and dynamic operating environment,” Chairman and CEO Jim Umpleby said in a news release. “Amid ongoing supply chain constraints, our team continues to execute our strategy for long-term profitable growth while striving to meet customer demand.”
