PEKIN (25 NEWS) - Numerous arrests were made along with stolen property recovered after a barricade situation in Pekin Thursday.

A release from Pekin Police Department Public Information Officer Billie Ingles says an active investigation into several recent residential burglaries with stolen firearms and other property led to a search warrant being executed at a Pekin home Thursday.

Several people inside the home barricaded themselves and refused to exit the location.

Ingles later confirmed to 25 News the names of the four people arrested. All were arrested for residential burglary:

  • Erik S. Hill, 41
  • Gary L. Messer, 39
  • Nicholas E. Cantoni, 23
  • James A. Vetter, 40

The Central Illinois Emergency Response Team responded and took the remaining suspects into custody.

Several firearms and a significant amount of stolen property was located inside the home.

The investigation is ongoing.
