Normal town councilman running for state representative in the 91st district
PEORIA (25 NEWS) - Scott Preston is hoping to become state representative for the 91st district.
The district includes McLean, Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties.
“Illinois is a great state with amazing people, yet our state politicians continue to fail us,” stated Preston. “As a lifelong resident and entrepreneur, I run for state representative to bring a fresh perspective and problem-solving mentality to the issues our communities face every day. We must prioritize getting our economy back on track, investing in our educational institutions, and defeating efforts to defund or lessen the powers of law enforcement.”
Scott has been a member of the Normal Town Council since 2013 and is the youngest council member in town history.
The 34-year-old is a native of Bloomington-Normal and lives in Normal with his wife.
He is also the founder and president of Preston Property Group, a real estate investment company.
