UPDATE: McLean County EMA director dies after battle with cancer
UPDATE (8:25 p.m.) Late McLean County EMA Director Bob Clark worked closely with first responders, including Stanford Police Chief Dustin Carter. The chief remembered Clark in a Facebook post.
“For those who knew Bob, you knew he couldn’t walk more than five feet without smiling and brightening up someone’s day.”
Chief Carter went on to say, “He was passionate about helping his fellow citizens and doing anything within his powers to ensure people were safe. When mayhem and danger struck, Bob was the first to make sure his team was there to help in any way they could.”
“Bob led with integrity and by example. We will miss him, but we are thankful for all of his contributions and leadership,” Carter also said.
BLOOMINGTON (25 NEWS) - McLean County is mourning the loss of one of their own.
McLean County Emergency Management Agency posted on Facebook Thursday that Bob Clark lost his fight against cancer.
Part of the post read, “Bob will be sorely missed; his knowledge of the county, the history of the communities, and the fact that he knew everyone were great assets. Rest in peace Bob, we’ll take it from here.”
Clark was 53 years-old.
