Manhunt underway for Peoria man after standoff with Police

PEORIA (25 News) - Peoria Police are searching for 22-year-old DeAngelo D. Coleman. He is a suspect in a disturbance call Tuesday afternoon that resulted in a police stand off for several hours.

Police were initially dispatched before 1:00 PM to the 1100 block of North Sheridan road. Officers were told there were at least two men inside with guns.

After establishing a perimeter, the Special Response Team breached the home. Nobody was found inside. They are suspected to have ran off when initial officers arrived.

Police said during their investigation they identified one of the men as 22-year-old DeAngelo D. Coleman. He is about 5′6, 250 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes.

Coleman is wanted for Aggravated Assault.

Police are asking for help identifying and locating Coleman. He is considered armed and dangerous and shouldn’t be approached.
