Bradley student hurt after stabbing Wednesday morning near campus

PEORIA (25 NEWS) - A Bradley University student received a minor injury after a reported stabbing at an off-campus gathering.

A published community advisory alert says Bradley and Peoria police responded to the report of a person stabbed in the 1700 block of West Callendar Avenue, near the intersection with North Cooper Street -- around five blocks south of West Main Street and around six blocks west of North University Street.

Bradley Police said the incident does not appear to have been random.

The student was transported to OSF.

Police say the suspect was only described as a male.

An investigation is continuing.
