PEORIA (25 NEWS) - A Peoria man is facing new charges a week after his baby died.

The baby’s father, Zachary Yeo, 23, is facing charges of first degree murder, aggravated battery of a child, and aggravated domestic battery.

His original charges were aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery.

His arraignment is scheduled for December 2nd.

Connor Yeo was transported to OSF Friday, November 12, after a call of a two-month-old not breathing.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Yeo was successfully resuscitated, and aggressively treated for several days at OSF but was unable to recover from his injuries.

He was pronounced deceased Tuesday, November 23 at 11:57 p.m.

An autopsy shows Connor suffered severe blunt force head trauma by another.

The case remains under investigation by the Peoria Police Department.
