Tracking a mild and dry trend to start off the work week
Seasonably mild highs in the upper forties
Peoria (25 News) - Breezy northwesterly winds will become calm tonight and skies will remain clear, which will allow lows to cool into the mid twenties. Winds will pick up again on Monday, but from the south at 10-15 mph and gusting up to 30 mph. Slightly warmer air will funnel in, so highs will be in the upper forties near 50 Monday and Tuesday. One system on Monday looks to track North of us, and will likely bring no precipitation to the area, but will increase cloud coverage. Another wave arrives Tuesday night, but it looks to track south of the area, so we’ll add a slight chance for rain then. Other than that, remaining mostly dry looks to be the trend until Friday or Saturday. Temperatures jump closer to 60 for the second half of the week.
