PEORIA (25 NEWS) - Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide that took place in a Peoria neighborhood on Thanksgiving.

On Saturday, 24-year-old Martarius McGee turned himself into detectives at the Peoria Police Department.

McGee was interviewed by detectives and arrested for first-degree murder, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

McGee was transported to the Peoria County Jail and his bail is currently unknown.

Police say there are no other suspects involved in the incident, but they still ask anyone with information related to the case to call the department at 309-673-4521, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 309-673-9000.
