UPDATE: A firefighter sustained a minor ankle injury while battling the fire Thursday night at Ashers Bar and Grille in Farmington.

According to a Facebook post from the Farmington Community Fire Protection District, the firefighter was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. He has since been released.

No other injuries were reported.

FARMINGTON (25 NEWS) - Firefighters are working to put a fire out at Ashers Bar and Grille on Fort street in downtown Farmington Thursday night.

The downtown area is blocked off and Farmington Police Department is asking residents to avoid the area.

This is the second bar fire in downtown Farmington this week.

Whiskey Dixies was destroyed Monday night.

We are working to gather more information on this fire.

No reports of injuries at this time.
