PEORIA (25 NEWS) - Early morning rain showers have come to an end and conditions are drying out across central Illinois. Temperatures have fallen into the upper 30s and low 40s behind the passage of a cold front. Skies are mostly cloudy this morning, and are expected to gradually clear later this afternoon. Breezy today, with northwesterly wind gusts in the 25-20 mph range.

A cold night is ahead, with lows in the mid to upper teens. You’ll need the winter gear if shopping late tonight or early Friday morning! Sunshine returns tomorrow and temperatures rebound to the upper 30s for afternoon highs. Further warming into the 40s is on tap for the weekend. A few isolated showers are possible Saturday afternoon.
