PEORIA (25 NEWS) - Changes in the air can be felt out the door this morning, as temperatures have only fallen into the mid to upper 30s, as opposed to the low 20s the last few days. A windy day is expected, with southerly gusts approaching 30 mph. The southerly winds will bring mild air into the region, with afternoon highs expected to reach the mid to upper 50s across central Illinois.
Dry weather will continue through the start of the evening, but a passing cold front will bring scattered rain showers late this evening. Showers will end by daybreak Thursday, and clouds will gradually clear by the afternoon. The Thanksgiving Day forecast features colder air, with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
