PEORIA (25 NEWS) - A high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle resulted in the arrest of a Peoria teenager and a juvenile in Canton.

Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies said they were alerted early Monday to a stolen vehicle traveling on Illinois Route 116 from the Peoria area.

A 2012 GMC Yukon was reaching speeds of 96 miles per hour near London Mills, according to police.

Authorities said Farmington Police placed a spike strip on the roadway, but the SUV didn’t stop. Driving on three wheels, police said the suspect drove at a marked Canton squad car. The pursuit ended on Chestnut Street in Canton where the SUV went over a curb and came to a stop.

Police said Ke’ston Moore, 18, of Peoria, faces charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and reckless driving.

A juvenile male was also taken to custody, according to the sheriff’s department.
