Linda Cooper is an advanced practice nurse at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
She has worked as a nurse at Saint Francis for 33 years and has been with palliative care since 2012.
“I’ve always been a people person,” she said. “So I feel like it’s a calling. God brought me to this point. And I appreciate my leadership role as an advanced practice nurse and also at Saint Francis Medical Center and my passion is these people. My patients and families -- they are going through a terrible, rough time. You know, it’s challenging times and to be a part of that piece of their life is just a real privilege.”
She said nursing is a calling.
“It’s not a job really. Although we get paid but it’s a privilege.”
