Abe Lincoln Visits PPL In His Last Hours

Max and Donna Daniels portrayed Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln at Peoria Public Library on September 30th, one of nine appearances at area libraries during Lincoln's Legacy @ your library.

The Daniel’s “An Evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln,” is set at the White House on the evening before they leave for Ford’s Theater, unaware of how that night will change their lives and American History forever. interest. A cumulating festival “Guns, Garments and Glory” will be held at Washington District Library in Five Points Washington from 2 to 4 pm, on October 5.

You can still catch “An Evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln” at Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library (Canton) at 10 a.m., Oct. 1; Alpha Park District Library (Bartonville) at 7 p.m., Oct. 1; Peoria Heights Library at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 2; Morton Public Library at 7 p.m., Oct. 2; Fondulac District Library at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 3; and. All programs are free and open to the public.
