I remember it was a friday in April 1966, I was 6 years old and home from school with the Chicken Pox. Back then Captain Jinx & Salty Sam had a daily drawing Monday - Thursday for a small prize. On Fridays they had a dawing for the Grank Prize. My sister had won the small prize that Monday. I was still home with the Chicken Pox on Friday, so my mother & I was watching Captain Jinx & Salty Sam draw the winner for the week. IT WAS ME!!! I won a Radio Flyer Wagon full of Baby Ruth & Butterfinger candy bars plus a bunch of Board games and some other neat toys. IT FELT LIKE CHRISTMAS!!! I will never forget Captain Jinx & Salty Sam calling out my name!!!
