CVS-brand nasal spray recalled for potentially life-threatening contamination

Check your nasal spray. Some bottles contain a potentially life-threatening pathogen.

Product Quest Manufacturing is voluntarily recalling bottles of CVS Health 12 Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist. It contains a clear, colorless liquid found to be infected with a microbiological contamination called Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Repeated use of the nasal spray can be life-threatening to certain patient populations, such as those with cystic fibrosis or immno-compromised. 

The product comes in a 0.5 fluid ounce bottle in an individual folding carton. It has a UPC code of 50428432365. The affected batch is lot #173089J, EXP 09/19. It comes in a white nasal spray bottle with an orange label.
