The president of a local car dealership was indicted Tuesday for possessing stolen cars.
Court records show Pioneer Auto Sales president Marty Goldstein faces nine counts of unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.
The Journal Star reports that the charges stem from a search warrant filed last month, in which the Peoria County Sheriff's Office started to investigate Goldstein following a late April accident in Chillicothe.
That investigation then led investigators to find another vehicle with a VIN number, matching another vehicle in Minnesota.
If convicted on all charges, Goldstein could face up to 15 years in prison.
