It's a big weekend for the river city, as the 47th annual Steamboat Days festival gets underway.
With high temperatures in the mid 90s and heat index values hotter than 100° expected, you'll need to dress cool, drink plenty of water, and look for the shade.
Of course, the Steamboat Classic race is Saturday morning, but events are running all weekend and include some entertainment for all ages.
We asked festival-goers of all ages to describe steamboat days.
Young festival-goers used terms like "amazing, cheerful, awesome, and fun," while more seasoned festival-attendees said they like making memories by bringing their children to the event.
"I bring my kids, we come out every year and we do Steamboat Days," said Janazia Toombs, a regular attendee of Steamboat Days."
Concerts are a big part of the weekend too, with the tailgates and tallboys lineup that included Chase Rice and Joe Nichols Friday night.
Saturday features Dylan Scott -- Kane Brown -- and Nelly.
Sunday concert-goers can check out Russell Dickerson, Jon Pardi, and Old Dominion.
Since it'll be hot, remember take it easy and drink plenty of water, especially if you're a runner in Saturday's race.
