Salmonella infection forces recall of Kellogg's Honey Smacks cereal

Posted: Updated:

If you've recently purchased Kellogg's Honey Smacks Cereal, don't eat it.

The company is recalling 15.3 ounce and 23 ounce packages of the cereal due to possible salmonella contamination. Throw the cereal away, or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.

The cereal has a "best if used by" date of June 14, 2018 trough June 14, 2019 on the box top.

Some common symptoms of salmonella infection include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps.
