Bloomington police have no leads on who shot up a house party over the weekend that left 18-year-old Steven Alexander and 20-year-old Taneshiea Brown dead.
Elizabeth Lemons lives next door to where the party was taking place and said she attend the vigil family members held for both victims earlier this week.
"That was nice I really enjoyed it. They put candles down and them up with the names of the two people that died. They let the balloons go, they were so pretty. There was no violence, nothing. Everything was perfect," Lemons said.
A GoFundMe for Alexander, known by loved ones as Lil Steve, is online to help cover funeral costs. The page describes Alexander as a "jokester who brought joy to anyone who was around him."
We reached our to Brown's family but did not hear back from anyone.
Bloomington police tell us there are no leads for now and Lemons said she may know why.
"I heard there would be a realtalitation. I don't know whether that is going to happen or not but everybody is afraid, so they are afraid to say anything whoever knows. I don't know anything myself but I do live around here and want to be safe," she said.
Brown's obituary says her funeral is set for Tuesday in Bloomington. A viewer close to the Alexander family reached out to WEEK confirming Alexander's funeral will take place Friday, June 22 in Bloomington as well.
