According to one Peoria City Council member, Sid Ruckriegel, the cure for retail revenue loss, is more jobs.
Ruckriegel held his monthly breakfast chat at City Hall, this morning. Knowing so many major retailers have left the city of Peoria, he says the city and the nation rely heavily on sales taxes they receive from these brick and mortar stores.
"We need to, again, add back to jobs, factories, businesses that will create those jobs that will in turn be able to bring those revenues around," Ruckriegal said.
If you want to discuss city happenings with Ruckriegal you can catch him at his next breakfast chat in July's City Hall breakfast chat.
