Three arrested on attempted murder charges in Galesburg

GALESBURG, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

Three people are in custody, and a fourth to be sought on a warrant, after a stabbing in Galesburg on Sunday. 

The Galesburg Police Department responded to a house in the 1400 block of Monmouth Boulevard just before midnight on a report of a stabbing. Police found a 23-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was eventually transported to OSF Saint Francis in Peoria, where he was last reported in stable condition. 

Nineteen-year-old Matthew Hale, 18-year-old Hayden Clark and 19-year-old Bradley Detmers, all of Knoxville, were arrested for attempted murder, aggravated battery with a weapon, and solicitation of murder. All are being held in the Knox County Jail. 

A warrant will be issued for a fourth person, 19-year-old Lauren Valerius of Davenport, Iowa.
