A New York-based real estate company will auction off the soon-to-be-closed Bergner's locations in Pekin and Bloomington.
Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. owns the buildings which currently house the 82,100 square foot Bergner's outlet at East Court Village in Pekin and the 131,606 square foot Eastland Mall location in Bloomington.
Leases will be available for the Bergner's locations at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie in Peoria, Peru Mall in Peru and Sandburg Mall in Galesburg.
"These stores are located in well-performing regional markets," said A&G Co-President Andy Graiser. "The availability of these locations creates a wide range of possibilities for expanding retail chains, as well as developers across the entire real estate spectrum. Opportunities range from traffic-driving stores, food halls and entertainment venues, to healthcare, residential, education and other non-retail uses."
The company announced its liquidation in April following a bankruptcy auction. The realty company did not release a timeline for the auction.
