Three men face charges in connection with a shots fired incident near the Peoria Public Library's Lincoln Branch Monday afternoon.
Peoria police responded to a ShotSpotter Alert at the intersection of S. Helen and W. George at 1:07 p.m. Shots were reportedly fired from a vehicle on S. Helen. An officer later spotted a vehicle matching its description on McBean and pulled it over.
Three arrests were made. Raynard Elloie, 25; Rodrick Johnson, 27; and Rico Marcus Moore, 27, all of Peoria, were arrested in connection with the incident.
Elloie faces counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card, fleeing an officer, and disregarding a stop sign. Johnson was arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm on an occupied vehicle, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card. Moore was arrested on the same counts as Johnson.
Moore is due in bonding court for aggravated discharge of a firearm on Tuesday. Elloie appeared in traffic court Tuesday for disregarding a stop sign and fleeing an officer. Johnson has not yet appeared in court.
