Chicago White Sox pitcher Danny Farquhar was discharged from the hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage during an April 20 game.
Farquhar collapsed in the dugout and was rushed to the hospital, where the hemorrhage was diagnosed. He was discharged from RUSH University Medical Center on Monday and is at home resting with family.
The pitcher's doctor said he expects him to be able to pitch again some day, but will not allow him to play for the rest of the 2018 season.
"Farquhar and his family have appreciated the many cards, tweets, texts and well wishes they have received from friends and fans over the past weeks. The White Sox organization continues to wish Danny a speedy and full recovery," said the team in a statement.
