If you've got a green thumb and are looking for something unusual for your garden this year, we have just the event for you. It's the annual Luthy Botanical Garden's Spring Plant Sale.
It's a chance to get your hands on tropicals, annuals, perennials, vegetables, and some unique items. That includes plants that are touch-sensitive, causing them to fold in on themselves if you brush up against them. Or, they have a special variety of begonia's that can smell like chocolate, roses, or lemons.
And, for the first time this year, you can buy some items from Luthy's private collection.
"We have a botanical garage sale so we are pulling out of our collection a lot of things that have been propagated over the years and we're sort of house cleaning," explains Garden Manager Bob Streitmatter.
The sale started Friday and runs through Sunday from 10 to 5.
If there are any items left they'll host another sale next weekend, but staff there say already items are selling fast, so you might not want to wait.
