After more than a century in Chicago, Sears no longer has a physical location in the nation's third most populous city.
The Chicago Tribune reports the last Sears store in Chicago will close in mid-July after a liquidation sale this spring. The Sears store closing originally opened back in 1938 and was part of a real estate deal in 2015.
The company has not responded to our request for a list of any additional stores that could be closing in Illinois. There are Sears locations in both Peoria and Bloomington.
