Peoria police have made an arrest in connection with the two young adults killed at an off campus party in the 1800 block of West Bradley Avenue.
Authorities say the 16 year old juvenile male suspect was taken into custody without incident in the 2700 block of West Trewyn in Peoria around 7:40 P.M. Wednesday.
Jermontay Brock, 16, of Peoria is being held on $1 million bond on one count of first degree murder, according to court records. Brock will be tried as an adult, according to the Peoria County Circuit Clerk's Office. Brock is being charged in connection with the death of 22-year-old Anthony Polnitz.
This past Sunday around 1:45 A.M. police were called to the area of Bradley and Western Avenue for reports of shots fired. 18-year-old Nasjay Murry and Polnitz were both pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was shot in the hand but survived. Murry was a pre-med freshman from Chicago studying at Bradley.
