The suspected charter bus shooter in Rockford is now in police custody, according to Winnebago County court records.
Our sister station WREX reports Rockford Police believe, Raheem King, shot and killed three people in a charter bus early in the morning on April 7. Rockford Police Chief, Dan O'Shea, said that police responded to a call around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the west side of Rockford and when officers arrived they found three people dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside a private charter bus.
Officers determined in a preliminary investigation that King was on the bus at the time of the shooting, but ran ran from the scene. He has been on the run since Saturday.
