You may see some traffic disruptions during the funeral procession Wednesday for a Peoria area firefighter who lost his battle with cancer.
The visitation for Nick Riordan was Tuesday, drawing hundreds to Northwoods Community Church on north Allen road.
The 34-year-old died last week, after a long battle with cancer.
Wednesday during the lunch hour, state police will lead the procession eastbound on Wilhelm, to Knoxville Avenue and War Memorial, and eventually taking I-74 to Heyworth, Illinois.
Police advise you to expect serious traffic congestion.
The burial takes place at Randolph township cemetery in Heyworth.
A large crowd is expected, as Riordan spent time working for the Germantown Hills fire dept, Eureka Goodfield Ambulance service and Putnam County EMS, as well as the Peoria fire dept.
