A Peoria man was arrested for attempted murder in connection with a stabbing last week in Peoria's North Valley.
Police responded to In and Out Grocery, 305 Wayne St., on March 30 just before 8 p.m. on a report of a man who walked into the store with blood coming from his face. Officers on scene said a 30-year-old man was stabbed. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Police arrested Jordan A. Eissa, 28, of Peoria in connection with the incident just after Tuesday at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center after responding for an unrelated call of a man causing trouble at the hospital.
In addition to the attempted murder arrest for the Wayne Street stabbing incident, Eissa was also arrested for four counts of aggravated battery and resisting arrest for allegedly punching three hospital staff members and kneeing a fourth in the head.
Eissa was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
