Biker who lost everything in fire receives new pins and patches

KEWANEE, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

Edd Bickers was seriously injured when a gas leak caused an explosion and fire at his Kewanee home last year. He lost everything, including his prized Harley leather jacket with 21 years' worth of patches and pins.

"Edd recently called Harley-Davidson corporate in Milwaukee, WI to ask if in any way possible they would have the patches and pins he lost. He told his story of how he lost everything, but his belief in God that he credits for saving his life," said a post by Reiman's Harley-Davidson in Kewanee.

Days later, he received 21 new pins and patches in the mail.

"Thank you Harley Davidson, not only from us here at Reiman’s, but also from Edd who was very grateful to be able to proudly wear his patches and pins again. You returned a smile to Edd’s face, along with restoring faith for some of us who heard his story," said the Reiman's post.
