Creve Coeur man accused of setting his house on fire

CREVE COEUR, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

A man is in the Tazewell County Jail accused of trying to set a Creve Coeur house on fire.

It happened around 6 p.m. Monday at 141 Oaklawn Circle. 

There, firefighters found three sides of the house on fire, along with 28-year-old Austin Garcia, who was outside the home.

He, according to authorities, made statements that he started the fire.

Garcia, along with two other people were later found inside, and it was determined they were inside the home when the fire started.

Garcia is charged with aggravated arson and remains in the Tazewell County Jail.
