Pekin man's death ruled Methamphetamine overdose

A follow-up to a story we first brought you back in December. We now know what killed a man whose body was found in Pekin. The Tazewell County Coroner says 32 year old Jacob Sutton died from a methamphetamine overdose.

Sutton's body was found by a shed outside the UAW building on S. Parkway Drive in Pekin on December 28th.

Coroner Jeff Baldi says Tazewell County has seen an increase in meth-related deaths recently. Last year the county saw 4 fatal cases of meth overdoses, compared to zero from 2013 to 2016.
