We are 24 hours away from the beginning of the IHSA State Tournament.
However, the madness begins Thursday at the Peoria Civic Center, as the experience opens.
The experience is open throughout the tournament, allowing fans to enjoy a different part of the madness.
No matter if this is your first or 10th time coming to the tournament, there is always something different at the experience.
"Well, one of the events is the three point challenge. And that three point challenge is an event that times how many three pointers you can drain. Kinda like the three point event that the high school athletes participate in. Then there is a jump ball jamboree, where you can shoot the ball, say from the free throw line, and whoever makes it, goes from the top of the key, and who ever makes that goes back," said Dave DeFreitas, who is the Vice-Chair of the IHSA Steering Committee.
Along with the experience, there are other tournaments, dance competitions, cheerleading competitions, wheelchair championships, and the Special Olympics.
The experience is open Thursday through Saturday the next two weekends. On Thursday, it will be open from 5:30 PM-8:30 PM. On Friday, it will be open from 10 AM-8:30 PM, and 10 AM-6 PM on Sunday.
It costs two dollars to get in, unless you have a game ticket.
Then, it is free.
