"Winter Weather Advisory" will be in effect for Peoria, Marshall, Woodford, Fulton, Tazewell, McLean, Stark, and Knox Counties from 6 PM until 6 AM Wednesday morning. Timing appears to be a little later this evening than yesterday. Light snow will begin to start after 6 PM, but it appears heavier snow might not arrive until 7-9 PM tonight.
It'll be another powdery type of snow, which normally means it has the ability to accumulate quickly. Snowfall totals won't be as high as they were Monday night. Current thinking is around 2-4" for areas along and north of I-74. Confidence is low on the track of heavy snow-bands tonight. Current guidance is suggesting Marshall and Stark Counties could receive the brunt of the storm yet again tonight.
Use caution while driving late tonight. Roads could become snow covered at times. Blowing snow won't be a major concern with winds around 5-10 mph, but in rural areas, this could still be an issue.
Timing: After 6 PM into the early morning hours Wednesday. Should be out of the area before the 7 AM.
Snowfall Totals: 2-4"... for areas along and north of I-74. Areas south of Bloomington-Normal can expect lighter totals around 1-2".
P.S - More snow might be on the way this weekend!
