Business owner Jack Pearl dead at 91

John (Jack) Pearl, a prominent local businessman and founder of  Pearl Companies, has passed away at age 91.

He passed Thursday surrounded by family.

Pearl got his start running his own business while studying at Bradley University.


Pearl Insurance was born in 1954 and soon became the largest business in Peoria Heights.


He donated money and his time to local charities, like the OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois.


Jack Pearl fathered six children. He also loved to spend time with his 23 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Pearl Companies will be closed on Wednesday, January 17.

Visitation:

Tuesday, January 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
