Three and a half years after two workers died while working at Agridyne in Pekin, their families will get a combined $6 million as a result of a lawsuit.
The relatives filed the suit in connection with the deaths of 29-year-old Dean Stone and 37-year-old Frank Rosebur.
Reports indicate that in June 2014, Rosebur fell into a container in Pekin holding a corn-based liquid and died from the fumes.
Stone died while attempting to save Rosebur.
Osha later fined the company on 11 violations.
A federal probe determined that Rosebur and stone were victims of willful and safety rule violations at Agridyne.
But as part of an out of court settlement, Agridyne is expected to acknowledge no formal liability in the deaths.
