UPDATE: Peoria man dead in city's first apparent homicide of 2018

PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

The Peoria Police Department is on the scene of an apparent homicide on the south side of Peoria.

Police responded just before 1 p.m. to report of man lying in an alley bleeding in the area of the 1900 block of W. Starr. Officers found him an alley in the 2000 block of W. Malone. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood confirmed Kamry Harris, 22, of Peoria, is dead in an apparent homicide. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Another man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity is currently unknown. 

Harris lived in the West Bluff. 

Police stayed on scene for a few hours collecting evidence. No arrests have been made. The incident is under investigation. 

This is Peoria's first murder of 2018.
