A hearing is set for Tuesday on a Peoria Apartment Complex, forced to shut down due to electrical problems. Residents at 1505 on the Avenue had to move last month, after code enforcement shut down the building. Code enforcement says the landlord Penn Terrace Towers, had failed to fix the problem for more than two months. Those electrical problems came to light after a fire inside the building in July. Peoria Community Development official Joe Dulin says as of last month, the landlord's fine doubled to $380,000. During Tuesday's hearing, the landlord has the chance to challenge the fines levied.
