VenuWorks will not manage the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.
The Pantagraph reports that the Bloomington City Council unanimously voted Monday night against the idea.
VenuWorks proposed a flat monthly fee of $3,000 to take over the BCPA management. That includes the same five percent commission it already gets for food, beverage, and other sales that take place at the arena.
VenuWorks currently manages the newly-renamed Grossinger Motors Arena.
The BCPA has been looking for a new leader since its former director, Tina Salamone, died in March.
