PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

Peoria drivers: have you noticed your commute delayed because of road construction? Some good news may mean you'll be driving smoother.

Construction season is winding down, and with it all of the detours and delays. IDOT says the construction on eastbound I-74 should be finished by Monday afternoon (11/6), and the East Peoria landing of the Bob Michel Bridge is finished after some electrical work Friday.

I-474 drivers have driven through year one of a two-year bridge project, and the eastbound bridge should be open by November 17th.

Both bridges will be open through the winter, though work crews will close the westbound bridge in the spring.
