Little Free Library not only offers plenty of books, but hooks kids up with coaching and assistance if they struggle with reading.
PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) -
Reading: it's something we do every day, and we try to get our kids to do more of - but every day, more and more students are falling through the cracks.
That's why a group of Bradley University students, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Peoria, and The Book Rack teamed up to make reading more accessible for all children.
"Reading is something that no matter what's going on in your life, if you can get lost in a story, it can take you somewhere else," explained Stacy Hardin, co-owner of The Book Rack. "And one thing about reading is that you quickly realize the world has no limits."
This afternoon was the unveiling of the Little Free Library, where students not only had fun, but also were hooked up with resources if they struggle with reading.
