PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

The identity of the driver killed in a fatal two-car accident Friday afternoon on Kickapoo Creek Road in Peoria County has been released at the same time we are learning the unborn child of the other driver involved in that accident  has died.

Peoria County Coroner Jaime Harwood issued a release stating his office was notified that the unborn child of the 24-year-old pregnant driver of an SUV involved in the crash was delivered stillborn Friday evening. The woman's name has not been  released.

The other driver has been identified as 28-year-old Jeffrey Hess of Pekin.  The coroner's statement says Hess was the only person in a red sedan reportedly traveling north on Kickapoo Creek Road when the sedan collided with a midsize SUV.

Hess was killed in the accident. It has not been determined if he was wearing a seat belt at the time.  Further information is pending an autopsy  scheduled to be conducted Saturday along with toxicology tests.

The head-on collision occurred just south of Farmington Road. It was the second  head-on collision in Peoria County in less than a week's time. That accident on South Airport Road near Bartonville claimed the life of 7-year-old Kieley Blakesley.
