As the Chicago Cubs tried for the next round of the playoffs, it's was a nail biter for those wearing Cubbie blue.
So we stopped in to see how some of our local diehard fans are watching.
The Cubs facing elimination in the NLDS bout against the Nationals hds every fan wishing and hoping.
"We go rid of that goat, now it's time to keep going," said Ruben Winters.
Breaking a World Series victory drought last year has fans hungry for more.
"For some people are satisfied. But I don't think the real die hards are satisfied. The real die hards think they're going to win. There is no quit," said Ron King, who has always loved the Cubs.
"I was up all night, making coffee during the water break, the rain break. Hopefully they don't lose it. I'm watching right now," said another Cub lover Tina Williams.
And when I asked fans to address the friendly rival to our south...
"St. Louis?! There isn't St. Louis no more. It's the CUBS everybody!" said Winters.
Fans inside Kouri's Pub told us win or lose the curse is broken and they back their team 100 percent.
