A Michigan man's barbed wire deer is the people's choice for the best sculpture on this year's Peoria Sculpture Walk.
Jeff Best created the sculpture out of a half-mile length of reclaimed barbed wire. Best takes the wire off old fence posts and farm refuge dumps and twists it into new shapes.
Best won $2,500. More than 500 ballots were cast June through September. The Peoria Sculpture Walk features 16 artistic creations on Washington between Fulton and State. For more information, visit sculpturewalkpeoria.org.
