2017 marks the centennial of the United States entry into World War one.
As such, the Evergreen Cemetery in Bloomington is holding a walk with an appropriate World War one theme. The focus will be on those from McLean County who played a vital role in the war efforts.
Costumed actors will perform at different stops along the walk.
"All the characters have a World War One connection, and will tell their part of the story whether they fought in the war on the front lines, or they helped out on the home front, they will all share a piece of that history, the good and the bad," explains Candace Summers of the McLean County Museum of History.
The walk usually lasts about two hours. Admission and schedule information can be found here.
