Over in Pekin, gorgeous weather conditions for the city's annual Marigold Festival.

The festival, named after the official floral emblem of the United States, began in 1973 by a group of residents looking to bring fun to city, as well as honor Senator Everett McKinley Dirksen.

Over the four day span, guests are enjoying carnival rides, live music, and a local art fair, among other things.

This festival brings in people from all over Central Illinois.

One Washington man said he brings his business into town for the friendly atmosphere.

"The most important thing is talking to people and hearing their stories. I make sports art and I love hearing how people are fans of the Cubs.  You know Cubs fans, Cardinal fans. I love the history," said Chris Grimm with 6-4-3 Designz.
