Jo is the Director of Ambulatory Patient Care at OSF Medical Center.
It was Jo’s dream to find a way OSF could reach out to surrounding neighborhoods who have limited access to healthcare. Her dream was realized with OSF Faith Community Nurses. These Faith Community Nurses build relationships by partnering with surrounding churches, schools and service organizations embedded in these neighborhoods.
They find ways to improve their neighborhoods access to health services. Faith Community Nurses are focused on the intentional care of the spirit. Jo has a talent for finding the necessary funding for this service and obtained a van which is now called the OSF Care-A-Van. This is a mobile clinic that allows medical personnel to serve out in the community.
Let’s thank Jo for her efforts by rewarding her with the 25 Women in Leadership award.
